J. Keller (Orange Labs): Kiwano or how to host millions of users in a virtual world

In virtual worlds, the classical way to have people together interacting is connecting them to the same server. But as servers have bounded resources, this centralized approach limits the size of groups to few hundreds, and usually much less. With a distributed approach we can do better... Kiwano is a 3-tiered overlay based on the distributed computation of a Voronoï tessellation with applications in virtual worlds scalability and air control for drones.
